Party Time

My husband's assistant has retired after working for him for 10 years and for the firm for 34 years. To celebrate her long career and dedication we had a little party for her at Cucci in Oakville. The food is excellent and the wine list is extensive. We found out after booking that on Monday nights they offer live music and all wine is half off. (Yeah!)

I decided on a pink and orange theme for the table because I was inspired by a fuchsia runner that I found at Homesense for $6.99. For favors I made boxes of chocolates with coordinating ribbon and monogram. I gave the florist a sample of the ribbon and he came up with the gorgeous arrangement for the table. At the end of the evening we gave the guest of honor the flowers to take home.

To make the favors I purchased jewelry boxes at a container store and used a Michael's coupon to buy the mega punch for half off. The monogram can be customized to any colour combination, simply down load it here and print out on cover stock or scrapbook paper. The small slot punch I bought from Stampin'up, maybe Michael's sells something similar. (I use it all the time)
