Tree Time {A Few Easy Decorations to Make}

For Christmas inspiration and gorgeous photos visit The Nester and The Inspired Room, and Thrifty Decor Chick, you will be blown away with all the amazing links.

When we visited the tree lot I asked for a "tall and skinny" tree, but when we got it home it turned out to be a "short and fat" one! Oh well, I think it looks very pretty. It is not all colour coordinated or themed but rather it is a mix of store bought and homemade ornaments.

 Before: Only balls and a few snowflakes.
All you need to make this is a small piece of wood, craft paint, a Sharpie and wire.
Great present topper too!

One of my favourite store bought ornaments.

 Make It
   (All made by my boys)
1. Thread beads and a small ball onto a wire and then bend into heart shape.

2. Make a carrot nose out of Fimo clay (follow directions on pkg) press into styrofoam ball, use Sharpie for features. Cut strip of fabric for hat, glue to ball and tie at top with wool. Glue on wool and pom poms to make ear warmers.

3. Turn an old Christmas light into a reindeer by twisting a pip cleaner on top for antlers add googly eyes and a pom pom nose.

 Half way finished! Only two small boxes of ornaments to go!
