Boo for Sandy

Here in the north east we have been spared any major damage from Sandy. There are a few tree branches down and some people are without electricity, but thankfully little other damage. The pictures of New York and New Jersey that I've been seeing show much more destruction and severe flooding. Right now there are over 8 million people without electricity and over 11 thousand in shelters.

I had planned on doing a post about Halloween but I've lost all motivation; considering that many will not be celebrating this year and because of the last week of rain here I've lost my Halloween mojo. I usually decorate the front of the house with lots of carved pumpkins and orange and purple lights, but I can't seem to get it together. Arrr! This year we will have only one carved pumpkin to let the kiddies know we are open for business, lots of candy and that's it. I have ninekagillion mini chocolate bars to get rid of so I am hoping it doesn't rain too much! (I have no will power for the little buggers!)

Car are seen on a street flooded at Hoboken in New Jersey, October 30, 2012. Millions of people across the eastern United States awoke on Tuesday to scenes of destruction.

Keep dry everyone and have a safe and happy Halloween!
