Cottage Crafts

One of the things we do when we are at our cottage in Nova Scotia is paint rocks. We started this tradition many years ago and now we use it as a sort of guest book to record who has visited us. Guests are asked to find a special rock at the beach to paint, and then it goes into our ever growing collection. I am kicking myself because I forgot to take photos of this years rocks-we had some talented house guests! Sometimes I paint a few to bring home too.

I painted this one for my desk at home.

These are from past years.

I painted this one for my son when he was going through a Richard Scarry phase.

And this one he painted for me. I love it!

  1. Great tradition! I love the idea of guest rocks rather then a guest book.
