The Week End

We spent the week end in the city. It was super cold and snowy, but we still managed to pack in lots of fun.  At the Princess of Whales Theatre on Friday evening...

 we saw this...

The story of a beloved horse named Joey set in rural England and France during WW1. The horse puppets were amazingly realistic, it was as if real horses were on the stage. When the horses were standing still you could see the rib cage move with every breathe. If you have a chance I recommend seeing it.

On Saturday...

...we ate this....

Pasta Fagioli Soup

and this

The best buttermilk pancakes in the city from Mildred's Temple Kitchen in Liberty Village. Sorry about the messy plate, I didn't think to take a photo until after J had tucked in. Served with organic maple syrup, unsweetened whipped cream and wild blueberries.

Next we ran (to work off the pancakes) all of seven steps to West Elm. I didn't purchase a thing. (weird)
We ran around for a couple more hours trying to avoid the face freeze, it didn't really help I lost all feeling in my fingers and ended up on the sofa with this....

 How was your week end?

  1. I love reading about your journeys in Toronto!! As a Canadian living in the US we miss all the little things that make Canada the most precious country of all.
